Heidi Happenings

Haven't had a dedicated "Heidi" update in a while!

Her biggest news is that she had surgery at the beginning of June. In addition to her "no puppies here" procedure, she had to have an umbilical hernia repaired. Without the hernia, t'would have been an easy in and out procedure. With the hernia, she stayed overnight, had several stitches and was put on activity restriction for a week. Would have been much simpler for us had we not been getting new carpet the day she came home from the vet! The house was turned upside down and we had a dog we had to keep still and quiet. And with her silly looking cone, she had a hard time getting comfortable anywhere, much less in her crate! We found a VERY small area to put her big comfy pillow and she was pretty much fenced in with all the furniture upheaval in the house.

Heidi likes visiting with the neighbors.

Heidi absolutely LOVES her new Bumble Ball. Here's a completely worn out puppy. We had to replace the batteries TWICE the first night she played with the ball!
