Really - "Garage" and "Organization" Can Coexist...

This is what happens when Mom tries to help "organize" in the garage... I mean, how else are you supposed to find something without labeled baskets and bins?! If ever I dared to step into a Container Store, I would be in SUCH trouble...

Four Months to Four Days

When we moved to our rent house 4 months ago, the completion of our new house seemed so far away. Oh, the projects we were going to get completed in all that time! Now we stand 4 days away from signing the papers ending 4 very short debt free months... We didn't finish ALL the projects we had planned, but we did get a lot done. Ok, but that wasn't actually what I had planned for this post. Guess I'll have to do a "project post" now...

I digress... This post is supposed to be an update for Grandma so she can see some pictures of the house...

The second retaining wall now has stairs.

Dad's already pulling weeds. (Mom pointed them out, of course...)

Bear in her new room. (Bit being obnoxious...) This room will be painted "Jamaican Bay" come Monday afternoon.

Bit in her new room. As soon as we sign the papers Monday morning, I'll be taping and painting her walls "Lavender Sparkle".

Almost there!

If You Give Dad Some Clippers...

...you end up with a son with a "golf ball head"...

So, Dad was being funny and trying to shave designs (as requested by the boy) in Little Buddy's "long" hair since he was way over due for a haircut. Laughing and showing Mom, they were suddenly quiet when asked which clippers they had used.

Um, Dad's.

The ones Dad uses to completely shave his head every couple of weeks?

Um, yes.

Oh, dear...

His head did look rather golf-ballish.

So, Mom gets ready to finish the job with the regular hair clippers on the #1 setting we usually use for Little Buddy's shortest hair cuts. And still, the golf-ballish-ness remained...

I have never cut Little Buddy's hair without a guard on the clippers, but thank goodness the cut was short enough to cover all the little divits on his head.

He is now balder than ever... In the middle of winter!
But, at least every other day in Texas it's about 75 degrees...
